Bristol Beacon is a music charity, renowned venue and award-winning music education hub.
Our Finance team are responsible for managing the finances of all Bristol Beacon activities. We are currently managing our major capital transformation to create a world-class concert hall for the region and have been part of Bristol’s cultural heritage for 150 years. Our vision is to unite people through the joy of live music, and we achieve this through a diverse programme of inspirational musical experiences.
We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable focused Finance Officer, who will work closely with other teams across the organisation to provide high quality financial support whilst supporting the Head of Finance with management reporting and business analysis. You will most likely be in the early stages of your accountancy qualifications, be IT literate with strong MS Excel knowledge, have good written, verbal and presentation skills, be adept at problem solving and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have the ability to work to deadlines and be able to prioritise your workload.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills whilst working for a vibrant arts organisation. The successful applicant will bring a sound knowledge of accounting processes, and excellent customer service skills with a desire to learn about our business. Previous experience in the charity/arts sector is desirable, but not essential.
