Bristol’s Ishmael Ensemble are a pioneering force within contemporary UK jazz. With saxophonist and producer Pete Cunningham at the helm, the group fuses mesmerising jazz instrumentals with expansive electronics and dub inflections.

Their debut album ‘State of Flow’ put “both Ishmael Ensemble and their hometown firmly at the centre of the rapidly expanding British jazz map” (CLASH).

Since then, they’ve continued to go from strength to strength, featuring on renowned jazz imprint Blue Note Records’ ‘Blue Note: Reimagined’, performing Maida Vale sessions, and now gearing up to release their new album ‘Visions of Light’.
