Electronic duo Real Lies play “euphoric songs evoking long nights dancing and even longer drives back home to the suburbs” (The Guardian).
Having released their 80s’ inflected debut in 2015, their long-awaited follow-up ‘Lad Ash’ is due imminently.
After the departure of their third founding member Tom Watson, Kev Kharas and Patrick King took some time to regroup and the duo’s newer material is reflective of this shift.
Their characteristic sound, however, is still there.
Namely “Kharas’ winding, narrative-led lyrics, nostalgic, rave indebted instrumentals and the afterparty wistfulness that ties it all together” (CRACK).
