Two musicians post for a photo, the person on the left is wearing a black and white dressed with a matching guitar. The other persn is wearing a black suit and cap.

High-energy rock’n’roll duo The Courettes purvey a distinct, heady sonic fusion.

Exuding an noir-infused glamour, their music blends ferocious garage rock and Wall of Sound with 60s girl group, doo wop and surf rock elements.

The Courettes’ third record Back in Mono, released towards the end of last year, sees the pair further explore the nuances of their propulsive sound, executed with compelling prowess as always.

Their dynamism and vibrant songwriting makes for a raucous live show.

A force to be reckoned with. Matching the garage rock ferocity of The Sonics to prime early 60s girl group, the band’s output is utterly feral in the most addictive possible way.”
