Give the gift of music this Christmas…

There’s no avoiding it: the lights are up, Christmas parties are in full swing, and that last minute present-buying panic is starting to set in… so we thought we’d help you out with a selection of shows suitable for all the family’s music tastes. And don’t fret, all orders placed before 18th December will still be posted out in first class post to ensure they get to you in time for turkey day.

For the rocker…
The legendary Van Morrison comes through Colston Hall in January. Give the Brown Eyed Girl in your life a little lift at the beginning of 2014 with a stellar performance from this classic rocker’s Born To Sing tour.

For the literary critic…
Always an artist to push the boundaries, Marc Almond joins forces with legendary songwriter John Harle to take audiences through a journey of the darkest tales of London’s history and literary legends. The Tyburn Tree reworks William Blake and the nursery rhyme London Bridge is Falling Down, as well as going through the sordid history of Jack The Ripper and the Tyburn Gallows.

For the gag hag…
Alongside the big name comedians that chortle the main hall, Colston Hall plays host to a whole wealth of up-and-coming and leftfield comics in The Lantern, our intimate smaller venue. With shows such as Richard Herring and The Best in UK Stand up, this could be the last chance to catch these comedians before they make it to the big stage.
