Your Bristol Takeover

Thanks to everyone who watched and donated to Bristol Takeover Online – our first ever live streamed festival.

Over 8,000 of you tuned in, with 650+ donations helping us to beat our target of raising £10,000 to support artists and Bristol’s music venues in collaboration with Music Venue Trust’s Save Our Venues campaign.

Scroll down for some of the wonderful photos and comments we received throughout the day, and be sure to join us for Part 2 on Saturday 20 June.

Our winning #BristolTakeover photo

We loved Mark Hipwell’s shot of his daughter and the socially distanced teddy bears enjoying the festival, his snap was chosen as the winner of our #BristolTakeover photo competition.

Our winners are big big fans of Belle & Sebastian – which is fortunate because they nabbed themselves two tickets to see them next July on Bristol Harbourside.

Rockin’ out at the Lego stage

Not content to have the bands live in his home, Richard Edkin decided they needed a proper stage too. We love the Lego stage and audience enjoying the fest. Rock on!

Welcome to
Bristol Beacon

On Wednesday 23 September 2020 Colston Hall changed its name to Bristol Beacon.

Our new name is just the first step, it is about more than the sign above our door. Click below to find out more about how we’re changing, watch our name announcement, and discover how we want everyone to share in the joy of live music.
