Two decades into their cross-cultural collaboration, Afro Celt Sound System are still a force to be reckoned with. With sales now topping one and a half million albums and two Grammy nominations to date, their latest album ‘The Source’ (2016 on ECC Records) was described by fRoots as a “colossus of an album”.
Their live show, featuring a host of outstanding musicians, is as energetic and captivating as the album. Expect an uncontainable cacophony of global rhythms and roof-shaking beats with Johnny Kalsi, the UK’s most celebrated player of the Punjabi dhol drum, at the pulsing centre of the show.
