Presented by Come The Revolution

In Spike Lee’s rarely seen satire, African American TV executive Pierre Delacroix (Damon Wayans) creates a grotesquely racist minstrel show – complete with blackface – to force his bosses to understand the stereotypes that they force him to create. But his stunt backfires, and the show becomes a big hit – leading to Delacroix’s own mental collapse.

Bamboozled is screening as part of NO B/S!, a programme of screenings and events in Bristol that celebrate the many tones of Black comedy. NO B/S! is part of  Comedy Genius, a national celebration of comedy onscreen,  led by BFI, the Independent Cinema Office and BFI Film Audience network, supported by funds from the National Lottery. #bficomed
