Loudly and proudly presenting shows in venues of all shapes and sizes across the city
When describing Daddy Long Legs, frontperson Brian Hurd says they produce “rock and roll salvation through the spirit of roots and blues.” Channelling the likes of Captain Beefheart and Dr. Feelgood, the Brooklyn three-piece take the energy of classic garage rock and mix it with contemporary punk and a raw, R&B attitude.
Their latest album, ‘Lowdown Ways’ saw Rolling Stone describe the group as being “…like Chicago blues fired at the moon, played by the demented children of the Pretty Things,” while Patti Smith band member Lenny Kaye penned them as his “favourite rompin’ stompin’ New York band of the moment.”
