Formed by John Lees, Les Holroyd, Stuart ‘Wolly’ Wolstenholme and Mel Pritchard in Oldham in 1967, Barclay James Harvest “were pioneers of symphonic rock music, often recording and performing with a 60-piece orchestra” (The Guardian). Their “enchanting first four albums” showcased a “pastoral, whimsical, occasionally bombastic style of progressive rock laced with vocal harmonies, medieval folk references and orchestral arrangements” (The Independent).
They perform with founding member John Lees.
