Award-winning Scottish multi-instrumentalist John McCusker has an uncanny knack of turning his hand to an instrument and drawing out a melody that sounds like it’s been pulled straight from the ground he’s standing on. Now best known for his deeply intuitive fiddle playing, he joined the legendary folk outfit Battlefield Band at the age of 17, and since then has established a sterling solo career as one of Scotland’s – and Britain’s – most distinctive musicians. His ability to transcend musical boundaries has also led to many collaborations with artists outside of the traditional folk world, both as a studio musician and a producer.
“One of the UK’s most gifted and versatile musicians in any genre, John McCusker is equally in demand as a multiinstrumentalist, producer and composer” – The Guardian
