Lee Konitz Quartet

90 years young and still blowing up a storm! The legendary saxophonist/composer Lee Konitz first gained prominence with Miles Davis on the groundbreaking Birth Of The Cool sessions in 1949 and was a primary component in the development of the ‘cool jazz’ scene of the 1950’s that spawned such greats as Dave Brubeck, Chet Baker and Gerry Mulligan.
