Hoo-Ha! 2024 in photos

This August has seen the welcome return of one of Bristol Beacon’s annual flagship events – Hoo-Ha!, our festival for families.

After a year off in anticipation of our venue’s grand reopening in 2023, we were just bursting with Hoo-Ha! energy to bring the festival back to Bristol Beacon, and determined to spread its joyful spirit of chaotic fun out into the city.

Take a look at our highlights of Hoo-Ha 2024.

Hoo-Ha! in Southmead

On Saturday 10 August we brought a mini-version of the festival to our Southmead home, Beacon Music Centre.  We threw open the doors to our creative learning base to the local community for a day of music, messyness and general merry-making.

Hoo-Ha! at Bristol Beacon

From 27-28 August Bristol Beacon once again was filled with the sounds of joy and delight as Hoo-Ha! returned for its annual installment. From top to bottom, creative chaos reigned supreme across all floors of Bridgehouse, as families made beats with beets, and carnival headdresses, whilst in our Cellars festival goers tried their hands (and in some cases heads) at Kiss My Putt Crazy Golf.

Day 1 saw shows from the likes of the legendary Poco Drom on Bridgehouse Stage, and The Enchanted Cinema provided a magical musical experience in Lantern Hall. On day 2 we welcomed back festival favourites ICHI and RSVP Bhangra, whilst in Lantern Hall Marcel Lucont provided the lols and Dizraeli the lullabies, as we said goodnight to Hoo-Ha! for another year.
