Interior of Beacon Hall under construction

Our transformed venue reopens in just over five month’s time on Thu 30 Nov 2023. Each day that a new acoustic panel is secured, or a lighting fixture is illuminated, brings us closer to completion.

In other words, our venue is almost ready to welcome you back!

Here is a selection of the latest photos from the site. View inside our new restaurant space and into each of our three performance spaces, Beacon Hall, Lantern Hall, and Weston Cellars, and get a sense of the incredible transformation.

Come this November, our venue will be ignited by unforgettable live music and performances. Our opening weekend features Trip The Light Fantastic on Thu 30 Nov, The Housewarming on Fri 2 Dec, and Penguin Cafe on Sun 3 Dec. We can hardly wait!

Those of you who remember Lantern Hall from before we closed might notice the stage in the transformed venue is at the opposite end. This means that artists can access the stage more easily from the backstage area.

Natural light now fills the space. The windows had been boarded up since the 1960s. Now they can let light flood in, or acoustic curtains can be drawn to create a darker intimate space.

These pillars were sandblasted and look a lot classier without the former green paint.
