A 2025 glow up

We’re always looking for ways to improve your experience when you come to Bristol Beacon. And we’re always grateful for the feedback you share and the comments you send in. We read every one.

And we’ve listened to what you’ve told us about ways we could improve your experience – be that replacing some rather old, unloved carpets, to improving our seating.

Now, we love carpets as much as we love live music (ok, not that much, but it’s very important). So we’re very pleased that the new carpet is made from 75% recycled materials such as fishing nets and rubber products. Gollop Flooring, who laid the carpet, use 100% renewable forms of energy and have recycled our old carpet, diverting it from landfill.

Read on to find out more about the other improvements we’ve made to make your next visit to the Beacon even more enjoyable.

With thanks to The Copping Joyce Foundation for supporting this work.

More changes we’ve made

Over the past few weeks we have…

  • Made adjustments to the seating in the lower tiers sides which improve the legroom and comfort
  • Continued work ‘voicing’ our 1950s pipe organ in Beacon Hall ready for its 70th anniversary next year – more on that very soon
  • Begun upgrading the lighting throughout the building to LED technology, which is more energy efficient and will help reduce carbon emissions
  • Implemented a new bar queuing system in the stalls bars to improve speed of service
  • Tested a new offer in Golding Bar which will allow you to book a table for the evening with a bar tab – keep an eye out for that launching very soon
  • Begun staff training with our wonderful team of stewards to further improve the experience and welcome at Bristol Beacon
