Our workshops take place online via Zoom. A little preparation before the day can help avoid last-minute technical issues and make sure you get the most from your session.
Before the workshop
- Check you can use Zoom. Download the latest version of Zoom if you don’t already have it.
- Try joining a Zoom meeting. If you haven’t used Zoom before, familiarise yourself with how to join a meeting.
- Check your audio. Make sure you know how to connect your microphone and speakers or headphones.
- Test your device. Join a Zoom test meeting to check that your computer, camera, microphone and internet connection are working.
- Check your organisation’s network. If you’re joining from work, check that your organisation’s firewall or network settings allow access to Zoom.
- Have headphones or a headset. We recommend using headphones with an integrated microphone to help with sound quality and reduce background noise.
- Check your webcam. A webcam isn’t essential to take part, but we recommend using one where possible.
Your Zoom meeting link
Once you’ve booked your place, we’ll send you a confirmation email. Your Zoom meeting link will be sent to you by email shortly before the workshop.
Please check your inbox and junk or spam folder if you don’t see the email.
We recommend joining the meeting a few minutes before the workshop starts so you have time to check your audio and connection.
