As “a vocalist of unerring instinct” (New York Times), Aoife O’Donovan has collaborated with some of the most eminent names in music across a wide variety of genres. The Irish-American singer/songwriter is perhaps best known as the lead singer for progressive bluegrass/string band Crooked Still and as a member of I’m With Her, the band comprised of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and O’Donovan.
Since 2016, her solo career has flourished, with Mojo describing her debut album as “exhilarating and exploratory.” A favourite of the roots scene in the States, “the Bostonian is proving herself an heir to her heroes Mary Chapin Carpenter and Alison Krauss,” (The Guardian).
This will be an intimate solo performance in the beautiful acoustic of St Stephen’s Church.
