Belle and Sebastian

BRIT-winning, camera-shy “cult crooners” (The Independent) and “indie-pop icons” (Rolling Stone) Belle and Sebastian present their ninth studio album, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance. It is, says Saint Etienne’s Bob Stanley, “their most sonically diverse album … [blending] electro-glide, baroque balladry and giant-sized Europop hooks”. “It’s all about trusting in the restorative power of pop music,” he says. “If you’d trust anyone to write a great Europop song about Sylvia Plath, you’d trust Belle and Sebastian.”
