Following their sold-out debut performance at last year’s festival, The Bristol Bluesmen return for another journey down the Mississippi Delta through the history of the blues.
This year the band have set their sights on the acoustic roots of the genre, paying homage to heroes and heavyweights of the pre-war era like Lightning Hopkins, Lead Belly, Big Maceo Merriweather, Leroy Carr and, of course, Robert Johnson.
They’ll also showcase special acoustic arrangements of original material written by various band members and inspired by the sound of the folk blues tradition.
This is a rare opportunity to catch five of Bristol’s premier blues artists (Eddie Martin, Pete Gage, Joe Wilkins, Eric Mylod-Okafo and Will Edmunds) united in performance and tribute to their heroes. Catch it if you can.
