Bristol New Music returns for the first time since its inaugural weekend of events in 2014 with a concert by France’s Ensemble Variances at St George’s Bristol on Sunday 28 February.
The performance features world and UK premieres and is free to attend to celebrate the forthcoming full weekend of Bristol New Music events in May, which will include concerts by Max Richter Ensemble, Kronos Quartet and Arve Henriksen.
Featuring alto Noa Frenkel and mezzo-soprano Katarina Livljanic, Ensemble Variances perform ‘The Beauty Way (La Voie de la Beaute)’ – a musical ritual centred on the story-telling and healing traditions of the Ogalala Sioux.
A discussion about the programme with the composers takes place at 4pm, before the concert starts at 5pm.
To claim your free tickets for this event please contact St. George’s Box Office on 0845 40 24 001 or visit http://www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/event/ensemble-variances/
