Monteverdi Vespers

Part of Clifton International Festival of Music

Rounding off this year’s festival Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine is a blistering choral finale.

Sensuous solo movements and magisterial choruses come to life in the glorious acoustic of Clifton Cathedral in all its opulent glory.

Mixed with Monteverdi’s contrapuntal wizardry this is one of the most magnificent and revolutionary choral works of all time.
