Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival

One of the pioneers of World Music, 1960s highlife band Osibisa will be shaking Colston Hall’s foundations. Established in 1969, Osibisa brought together three highly regarded Ghanaian musicians with two Caribbean players; drawing on highlife, rock and soul.

Working with many international acts including Thin Lizzy and Stevie Wonder, Osibisa’s sound took the UK and the world by storm, paving the way for the likes of Bob Marley with three top ten hits including ‘Sunshine Day’, ‘Dance the Body Music’ and ‘Coffee Song’.
