Bristol Jazz and Blues Festival bring you the UK’s leading spoken word and music show at Arnolfini this autumn. Featuring some of Bristol’s best spoken word artists and improvising musicians, including Dizraeli, Anna Freeman, Vanessa Kisuule, Riaan Vosloo, Dan Moore and Dave Smith.
Tongue Fu celebrates it’s tenth anniversary in 2017 with a reputation as the UK’s leading spoken word and music show. Writer, musician, founder and host, Chris Redmond, invites extraordinary poets, comedians, storytellers and rappers to take risks; re-working material live, with jaw-dropping improvised soundtracks from a crack team of quick witted, genre- hopping musicians.
No two shows are the same and this irreverent blend of well crafted words, improv and music have earned them critical acclaim at music, poetry and literature festivals across the UK and around the world. Join us for this high energy, big hearted show. Part gig, part experiment, all fire.
“Touching, funny stories of riots, atheism and Englishness… Dizraeli embodies 21st Century folk” – Independent
