The musical moments we make

Young Companies in Residence

This programme aims to give talented young musicians a world-class music education to encourage a professional career in music. This includes masterclasses and side-by-side performances with visiting international artists from John Eliot Gardiner’s English Baroque Soloists to drum and bass innovator Goldie.

“The biggest strength I gained from my time in the Bristol Youth Orchestra was learning to lead. It not only inspired and prepared me for music college life but educated me in how the professional world works.”

Tobias De Silva, Bristol Youth Orchestra Member

“Singing with Bristol Youth Choir because of the bursary I’ve received has been wonderful – I just love singing! Music plays an important part in my life. I really want to be able to continue developing my interest in music and love of it.”

Rivie, Bristol Youth Choir member
