Our work with families takes us into children’s centres, libraries, community spaces and of course, our very own spaces at Bristol Beacon.
Working through interactive live music, singing, theatre and play, we deliver an annual family festival called Hoo-Ha!, projects and one-off workshops and concerts for our very tiniest audience members and their parents and carers.
We are excited to be working with partner, Take Art, to host Bristol’s new early years music network, Soundwaves. Meeting a four times each year, this network for early years practitioners, music leaders, primary schools teachers, librarians and freelance musicians, provides training, support and networking to all those passionate about music in early years over a drink and refreshments.
Soundwaves meet up regularly at Bristol Beacon with sessions facilitated by our sister organisation Bristol Plays Music. Click below to see what’s on and for more information please contact email@example.com
Bristol Beacon’s annual family festival Hoo-Ha! is crammed with music, messiness and merry-making. Based in our foyer, previous festivals have taken place across three days in August featuring shows, arts and crafts, lots of silly dancing and family activities suitable for all.
On Wednesday 23 September 2020 Colston Hall changed its name to Bristol Beacon.
Our new name is just the first step, it is about more than the sign above our door. Click below to find out more about how we’re changing, watch our name announcement, and discover how we want everyone to share in the joy of live music.
