A group of people wearing smart clothes in a cathedral.

The Bristol University Madrigal Ensemble makes its festival debut with a stunning programme marking the group’s 40th anniversary.

They are joined by past members of the ensemble for multivoiced works including the colossal Exultate Justi in 16 parts by Praetorius, and Harris’s sublime Faire is the heaven.

There’ll be plenty of the favourites for which the group has gained its fantastic reputation, with madrigals, partsongs and pop covers ranging from Byrd to Billy Joel.
