A black and white photo of a lady sat looking off into the distance.

Allysha Joy’s potent lyricism, unique musicianship and incredible vocals, weave together a heartfelt mix of love, power, wonder, anger, faith and hope for change.

Joy is well known as 30/70’s lead vocalist, her 2018 debut solo album ‘Acadie : Raw’ won Best Soul Album at the Music Victoria Awards. An incredibly powerful live performer; Allysha’s husky vocals sonically sync with her formidable piano playing, arching across influences from jazz, soul, broken-beat and R&B with that uniquely inimitable “Australian” sound.

Experience an intimate live performance with Allysha’s powerful lyricism at Rough Trade this September.

The immersive set was a testament to Allysha’s musical verbosity, complimented through fluttering saxophone and polyrhythmic time structures.”
