Gritty drums and faded guitars fight for room over flute bursts and harmonised vocals. It’s a live cacophony of melody… a refreshingly raw sound in an age of sanitised production.”
CLASH
Support from
The Stanford Family Band
Endearingly old-fashioned but somehow completely of their time, Brighton-based four piece The Stanford Family Band unashamedly wear their influences on their sleeves – think The Beach Boys or The Modern Lovers.
Their songs gracefully weave complex four-part harmonies with disarmingly melodic hooks, all held together by singer Elliot Stanford’s captivating vocals. Boasting a sound that is equal parts infectious, nostalgic and fresh, the band’s music has been tailor-made to soundtrack the good times all year round.
Plus
Sun Spot
Armed with a relentless, DIY work ethic and a wildly diverse sonic palette spanning everything from industrial electronica and hyper pop to ethereal post-punk, Sun Spot have worked tirelessly to nurture their growing reputation as one of the most exciting live acts within the UK underground circuit.
Following the release of their second EP ‘Working Memory’ via indie tastemakers Venn Records (Bob Vylan, Meryl Streek, CLT DRP), the Bristol-based quintet have garnered support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6, Kerrang! and Amazing Radio, as well as performing at festivals including Dot to Dot, ArcTanGent and Simple Things.
