Bristol Beacon Community Band

Beacon Music Centre

Lantern Hall

A group of people sit together smiling and one in the middle is playing guitar. They are differing ages

Do you have a cello in your attic collecting dust? Have you always dreamed of playing music in a group but never picked up an instrument? Or are you an enthusiastic musician looking to make music with new people?

We are excited to be launching the Bristol Beacon Community Band: a brand-new and free music ensemble for all ages, musical abilities, instruments and voices and, well, everyone! Led by social musician and practitioner Hugh Nankivell, this ensemble will meet regularly to jam, create music, and work towards performing together. You will also be joined by Bristol Beacon’s Community Musicians who are well-experienced in making music with people of all abilities and backgrounds.

Join us for two taster sessions at Beacon Music Centre and in Lantern Hall to give it a go, and even get involved in some consultation for this exciting new group. Our regular Community Band sessions will commence later in the year.

So come along, bring your friends, your family, your instrument, or just yourself, and see what being in an inclusive community band is all about!
