A blurry image of a person with tight curly hair and a moustache.

Dawuna brings his hypnotic, genre-blurring sound to Rough Trade. His acclaimed debut Glass Lit Dreams introduced a vaporous blend of R&B, lo-fi soul, and dreamlike textures, drawing comparisons to D’Angelo and Tricky. His latest album, Naya, is a raw, immersive meditation on black liberation, solidifying his place as a true visionary.

Following 2024’s Southside Bottoms mixtape, Naya strips things back to a lo-fi but deeply enveloping sound, merging Funk, Soul, and Hip-Hop into an intimate sonic experience. Dawuna’s live performances are as haunting as they are transportive, pulling audiences into his surreal, otherworldly world. With support from Cold Light, this promises to be a night of mesmerising live music.
