This is an event where creatives are welcome to meet and create networks with industry professionals within the festival and carnival industry.
You will be entertained musically by some of the talented individuals within the cohort, including local DJ’s Naughty Nate, Azumei and musical artists Aadvark9 and Mercy’s Cartel. Festival and Carnival Lab are also proud to announce the headliner, Da Fuchaman & His Fire Blaze Band, who is no stranger to Bristol Beacon and will bring his energetic performance to close the evening.
Get ready for an evening of creativity, music and a small insight to the opportunities the Bristol Beacon create for young people in Bristol.

About Festival & Carnival Lab
The Festival & Carnival Lab course established at Bristol Beacon, is an award-winning professional development programme aimed at nurturing the next generation, from African and Caribbean backgrounds.
The course includes intensive training and work placements within the world of events.
Following months of expert mentoring and a summer of work placements at festivals such as City Splash, Boomtown, Shambala and Bristol Harbour Fest, this year’s cohort have produced this exciting live showcase.
It feels like I’ve been introduced into a space in my life where I can thrive.

Location: Lantern Hall is located within Bristol Beacon. Head to Level 1 and follow signs to find the auditorium.

Bicycle
Bicycle racks can be found in front of the main entrance on Trenchard Street, Colston Street, and on the city centre promenade. Find your nearest cycle routes using Cycle Planner.
Car parking
Trenchard Street multi-storey car park is 200m away, directly behind Bristol Beacon.
Bristol Clean Air Zone
Bristol Beacon is inside the Bristol Clean Air Zone. Check if your vehicle will be charged and how much you’ll have to pay.
Bus
Most bus services stop in and around the city centre promenade, 250m from Bristol Beacon.

Mobility
Spaces for wheelchair users are available within the first 10 rows on the flat floor of the Hall.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs and emotional support animals are allowed in the performance space. Seats in rows AA-J on the flat floor are most suitable. If you prefer, you can leave your animal with a member of staff during the performance.
Hearing Facility
A Sennheiser MobileConnect assistive listening system is installed in the venue. Download the free App and use your own mobile device and headphones to listen to the performance. (Devices are available on request.)
