A vintage style image of a person with long windswept hair wearing a leather jacket.

Welsh instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond shares her third album Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark, out 5 September via Canadian label We Are Busy Bodies.

Drawing on folk horror, cosmic philosophy and twisted blues, the record is a fusion of the ancient and futuristic—where celestial drones and warped Americana meet a fingerpicked intensity all her own.

Since her 2017 debut on Tompkins Square, Raymond has toured internationally with the likes of Lankum, Richard Dawson, and Ryley Walker, and earned acclaim for her singular, possessed style. Her journey has taken her from trans-Atlantic demo exchanges to festivals in Maryland and Europe, and now into stranger, darker territories with lead single Jack Parson’s Blues.
