Piano Day 2025

Bridgehouse

Join us for Piano Day 2025 – a day dedicated to celebrating the wonderful instrument! Begun by German pianist and composer Nils Frahm, who performed at Bristol Beacon last year, Piano Day is held on the 88th day of the year, representing the 88 keys on a standard piano.

We’ve got activities planned throughout the day, keeping the building alive with the sweet instrumental sounds – and we want you to take part in our open piano!

Then as we move into the evening, the enigmatic Lambert will take centre stage in Lantern Hall. Known for his serene piano compositions and cinematic landscapes, Lambert will be performing his latest album, Actually Good, live for the very first time.

Presented by Bristol Beacon

We need you! Play our open piano

From 2 PM We’ll have an open piano in Bridgehouse, where you can become the star of your very own piano performance at Bristol Beacon.

There’s no need to pre-book your slot, instead each pianist will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, where you can sign-up on the day. There will be a maximum of 15 minutes each to ensure we hear as many people as possible.

From 5 PM We’ve invited 8 special guests from our musical community to showcase their talents.

Listen to Lambert’s contribution to Piano Day’s Compilation of original piano pieces

Hear Charlie Hooper-Williams piano cover of Imogen Heap‘s Hide And Seek. A prizewinning former concert pianist, he combines intricate, virtuosic textures with soaring and stirring melodies. Catch him supporting Lambert on Saturday 29th March in Lantern Hall.
