Simple Things returns to Bristol in 2026 for its twelfth edition, bringing together boundary-pushing music and contemporary culture for another city-wide celebration of discovery.

On Saturday 7 November, the multi-venue festival once again takes over some of Bristol’s most iconic spaces, uniting the city for one unforgettable day and night across Bristol Beacon, Strange Brew, Rough Trade, Sportsmans and new venue Shredenhams.

For the first time, Simple Things will feature guest curators, each performing and shaping their own part of the line-up. Squid, Shabaka and Jeremy Deller lead the first wave, with their curated line-ups still to be announced. Also joining the line-up are Panda Bear & Sonic Boom, Moor Mother, Nathan Fake, caroline, Chanel Beads, Cloud Nothings, Lord Spikeheart, Mykki Blanco and more, with a special guest still to be announced.

To be the first to know about further line-up additions, sign up to the Simple Things e-list.

General Terms

What is the age policy?

Simple Things Festival is for ages 14+.

Ticket holders aged 14+ can attend until 21:00 if accompanied by someone over 21 at all times.

Some external venues that are part of the festival may have different age policies.

What are Tiers?

Tiers only refer to the price you pay for the festival. Tiers do not refer to access at the festival. There are no VIP sections or exclusive access.

When do I get my festival wristband?

This event uses e-tickets with a wristband exchange. Festival wristbands give you access to all venues listed. Tickets to after parties and other events in the weeklong programme are sold separately.

Tickets are issued to you immediately after purchase. Installment plan tickets are issued after you make your second and final payment.

Tickets will need to be exchanged for wristbands in order to allow entry into the venues. Tickets will not be accepted on the door of venues.

Details of wristband collection will be sent to you before the festival.

Where can I find your full ticket terms and conditions

All Simple Things tickets are sold subject to our standard terms and conditions.

Installment Plan terms

What is an installment plan?

We offer payment installment plans for Simple Things. This is where the full price ticket value, including booking fees, is split into two payment installments.

After paying for your first instalment your tickets will be reserved until you complete your second and final payment.

How and when do I pay for instalments?

Instalment payment dates are dependent on which Tier ticket you purchase. Tier 1 instalment plan payment dates are:

  • Instalment 1: available from Fri 29 May – Thu 16 July
  • Instalment 2: due from Fri 17 July – Fri 31 July

Payment dates for other tiers will differ.

We will contact you by email with a booking link for you to make your second and final payment.

What happens if I don’t complete the payment?

If the final balance is not paid by the due date, the ticket reservation will be cancelled, and your first installment will not be refunded.

Can I get a refund if I can't complete a payment or attend the event?

All tickets and installments are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled, rescheduled, or if there is a significant change to the content. Where refunds are granted the face value of the instalment will be refunded but not the booking fee.

Can I pay for my remaining balance before the due date?

If you’d like to pay the remaining balance before the second instalment due date, please contact the box office.
