Four people pose for a photograph. Three are wearing patterned jackets, caps and sunglasses, the fourth is wearing a suit and tie.

The alias of Billy Salisbury, The Undercover Hippy’s high-energy performances have made them a festival circuit favourite since 2008.

Starting out as a solo project, Salisbury has since been joined by a full band taking his politically-charged music even further and they’ve become regulars at the likes of Glastonbury, Electric Picnic and Boomtown.

The Undercover Hippy’s eclectic sound fuses acoustic roots and reggae with folk and hip-hop influences delivered with humour and high-octane charisma. Their much-anticipated fourth album Poor Little England is set for release this year.

“The balance between seriousness and cheerfulness is what makes the Undercover Hippy’s music so infectious, it is music with a message that you can dance too.”
