Three people wearing casual shirts and standing in front of a full bushy tree. Two have sunglasses on one has a cap. The image is vintage feeling with film grain.

Celebrated for their sharp songwriting, unpretentious charm and jaw-dropping musicianship, The Wave Pictures bring their timeless mix of indie rock, blues and off-beat wit to Bristol Beacon.

More than two decades since forming in Leicestershire, the trio of Dave Tattersall, Franic Rozycki and Jonny Helm remain one of the UK’s most prolific and best-loved bands.

Renowned for Tattersall’s dazzling guitar work and the group’s spontaneous, joyfully ragged live energy, their shows are equal parts craft and chaos – full of warmth, humour and pure musical instinct. With a catalogue spanning 11 acclaimed albums and collaborations with the likes of Stanley Brinks and Billy Childish, The Wave Pictures continue to prove that rock’n’roll’s heart beats loudest on stage.

If being musically proficient is somehow vulgar, then The Wave Pictures are positively obscene, and to these ears, all the better for it.
