This event has passed

A black and white cutout of Martin Luther King against a light blue background. There is text that reads

Join Curiosity Un(Ltd) this Martin Luther King Day as they celebrate their first anniversary with an evening of talks, screenings, birthday cake and more.

Curiosity Un(Ltd) invite you to join them at our newly transformed venue to learn more about their recent work on the Bristol Bus Boycott, their exciting plans to transform this into a 3-year programme of work called Bristol Bus Boycott 360 and how you can join a movement that’s helping to transform Bristol from the 7th worst into the best place in the UK for People of Colour to live.*

This event also will also feature the premiere of a new song from our Anthem For Change project. Crafted and performed by a group of talented young creatives of colour from Aspiration Creation Elevation CIC, this new song is inspired by the Bristol Bus Boycott. It explores the power of protest, everyday discrimination and how to transform Bristol into the best place in the UK where people of all colours can thrive.

Attendees can also expect screenings of Curiosity Un(Ltd)’s work, inspirational speakers from the business world to the Boycott pioneers, a pop-up exhibition and a delicious birthday cake.

*In 2017, a report in the Times newspaper found Bristol to be the best place to live in the UK. In the same year, a report by the Runnymede Trust found Bristol to be the 7th worst core city in the UK for people of colour to live in.
