William Basinksi is an ever-innovative experimental composer. For over 30 years the classically trained musician has employed analogue tapes for his musique concrète explorations creating soundscapes that are as if a haunting, hypnotic waking dream.

Across his career to date, Basinski has collaborated with artist-filmmaker James Elaine, created the music for vanguard theatre maker Robert Wilson’s opera, which toured across Europe and North America, and performed to sold out audiences worldwide.

His latest record Lamentations sees Basinski further his renown as one of the most prolific 21st century ambient music practitioners.
