Zaho de Sagazan

Lantern Hall

Sold Out

A person with slick back hair and a silk top looking upwards with a serious expression.

If you want to describe Zaho de Sagazan’s voice it most likely is a type of material: a metallic velvet, the texture both bouncy and rough, the movement between a silk-lifting breeze and the ripple caused by skimming stones.

Zaho has returned with an expanded edition of La Symphonie des éclairs, featuring seven new tracks that showcase her raw, electrifying energy and distinctive voice. A 2024 marked by sold-out arenas, iconic covers at the Cannes Film Festival and Paris Olympics, and record-breaking awards have cemented her place as a rising star in French Chanson. Known for a voice both familiar and uniquely powerful, Zaho’s work weaves French lyricism with hypnotic electro beats.

This special evening in Bristol will be a testament to her evolving artistry, inviting you further into her unforgettable world.

A curious melange of influences create a new ambiance: disco and synthpop from the 1980s, aspects of Krautrock, French chansons, a bit of electro, and a pinch of indie pop. All of a sudden, a star is born.”
