National Lottery Heritage Fund uses money raised by National Lottery players to help people across the UK explore, enjoy and protect the heritage they care about.
In 2019 Bristol Beacon developed a pilot programme with ten young people ages 14-15 from across Bristol to come behind the scenes and join us for a week of work experience. These young people learnt about the different roles in our organisation, attended a live performance and completed a Bronze Arts Award.
Building on this pilot in 2020 we are working directly with targeted schools across the city to recruit participants who would otherwise not have access to the arts. While this may change in the future, for the 2019/2020 academic year we will not be opening applications to the public.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept any other work experience enquiries. We are able to offer whole class career insight days and activity on a case by case basis upon request directly from school teachers.

On Wednesday 23 September 2020 Colston Hall changed its name to Bristol Beacon.
Our new name is just the first step, it is about more than the sign above our door. Click below to find out more about how we’re changing, watch our name announcement, and discover how we want everyone to share in the joy of live music.
