Last week (13 June 2022) young musicians from the Bristol primary schools participating in the Earthsong programme came together to celebrate what they had learned over the past three years.
The celebrations began on 9 June with a fun Earthsong Start with Playing workshop at Trinity Academy, taking music out of the classroom, giving children the opportunity to play, sing and explore new instruments together.
On 13 June, 99 children who have been developing their skills in Earthsong Start with Ensemble classes, performed to an audience at St George’s Bristol, some performing publicly for the very first time. After learning to play their instruments initially in small groups, the young people joined together to perform as a symphony orchestra.
