Todd Wills, Artistic Director at Bristol Music Trust, said:
“During the redevelopment of Colston Hall we have still been running a full programme of music across the city. It has been a tricky time having to reschedule or cancel much of that programme and disappoint our audience, so to be able to get the rescheduled dates agreed so quickly is a ray of light and something to really look forward to.”
We proudly present indie-pop icons Belle and Sebastian at The Amphitheatre, Bristol Harbourside on Fri 17 Jul 2020.
Led by Stuart Murdoch, Glasgow’s Belle and Sebastian have provided the soundtrack for love-struck teens and yearning adults for over 25 years. Creating beautiful, sensitive work that harnesses the power of 60s-nodding pop melodies and a whimsical charm, the band’s back catalogue has “a song for every mood” (Louder Than War), delivering enigmatic yet “life-affirming chamber pop” (The Guardian) at every turn.
Having played to a sold-out crowd at Colston Hall in 2015, this very special Harbourside gig marks Belle and Sebastian’s triumphant return to Bristol and their biggest show in the city to date.
This summer, against the glimmering backdrop of Bristol’s Harbourside, expect a gloriously joyous indie pop party ahead of Bristol Harbour Festival.
To help ensure tickets only go to genuine fans and are not touted the following terms and conditions have been agreed.
This is a standing event. All areas of The Amphitheatre are wheelchair accessible and there is a raised viewing platform towards the back of The Amphitheatre in a central position.
