Todd Wills, Artistic Director at Bristol Music Trust, said:
“During the redevelopment of Bristol Beacon we have still been running a full programme of music across the city. It has been a tricky time having to reschedule or cancel much of that programme and disappoint our audience, so to be able to get the rescheduled dates agreed so quickly with Nile Rodgers and his team is a ray of light and something to really look forward to.”
We present one of music’s greatest living legends, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, on two consecutive nights on Wed 15 & Thu 16 Jul at The Amphitheatre, Bristol Harbourside.
Since co-founding CHIC in 1976, Rodgers has built an unrivalled back catalogue of hits. His collaborations with fellow boundary-breakers David Bowie, Diana Ross and Madonna have sold over half a billion albums worldwide. In more recent times his work with Daft Punk, Disclosure, Sam Smith and others demonstrate Rodgers’ ability to transcend all styles of music, across every generation. His musical prowess truly knows no bounds.
Renowned the world over for their electric outdoor performances at festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella, Nile Rodgers and CHIC are quite simply the ultimate party band. As their timeless hits including ‘Everybody Dance’, ‘Le Freak’, and ‘Good Times’ sound out across Bristol Harbourside alongside the rhythm of Rodgers’ ‘Hitmaker’ guitar, this will go down as one of Bristol’s most memorable summer parties.
To help ensure tickets only go to genuine fans and are not touted the following terms and conditions have been agreed.
The additional show date of Wed 15 Jul 2020 is confirmed subject to licence confirmation.
This is a standing event. All areas of The Amphitheatre are wheelchair accessible and there is a raised viewing platform towards the back of The Amphitheatre in a central position.
