With their “elegant and catchy songwriting” (The Line of Best Fit) Penelope Isles have built a charming sonic cosmos. Since their formation, the Isle-of-Man via Brighton four-piece has consistently made waves with their sprawling, psych-tinged indie-rock, selling out tours across the UK and playing with the likes of The Magic Numbers and British Sea Power.
At the heart of the band’s songwriting is the sibling dynamic of Lily and Jack Walter. Their Bella Union released debut ‘Until The Tide Creeps In’ captures this with shimmering magnetism, their sound soaring from fuzz-laden noise to ethereal lo-fi pop and everything in between.
