With a 30-year career under their belts, husband and wife duo Brett and Rennie Sparks are going back to their roots, re-releasing their 1994 Odessa as well as 1996’s LP Milk And Scissors.
The pair are known for creating hauntingly beautiful Americana rock, with lyrics often focusing on the myriad creatures that live at the edges of the man-made world: the sparrows, rats, cockroaches and crows that share our cities. Even with the dark context of their artistry and often chaotic stage presence, there’s always a relaxed, humorous approach in their live shows that highlights their “irresistible, weird charm” (The Skinny).
