For over 30 years, Yo La Tengo has carved out a niche for themselves as indie rock pioneers.
Within this the trio of Ira Kaplan, Georgia Hubley and James McNew deliver a boundless sound that encompasses “delicate balladry, squalls of feedback, ambient moods and anthemic indie rock” (The Guardian).
Doing everything on their own terms, they have fostered a strong, loyal community around them. Adding to their extensive discography, last year Yo La Tengo released three EPs with the most recent ‘Sleepless Night’ “resuming their covers jukebox niche” (Pitchfork), yet another side to their far-reaching musician canon.
