Armed with an arresting and diverse sonic palette that spans post-rock, metal, trip-hop and industrial noise, HAAL have quickly established themselves as cult favourites within the UK live scene.
Their psychotropic blend of sampling, DIY home-crafted effects pedals, monolithic instrumentation and immersive live visuals has seen the band play and tour alongside the likes of Toe, Machine Girl, DITZ, Arab Strap and Water From Your Eyes, as well as appearing at festivals such as ArcTanGent, Outer Waves, Dot To Dot, Wanderlust, Outer Town & many more.
The band’s debut EP ‘Back To Shilmarine’ follows a string of singles and remixes by Squid and Water From Your Eyes, and has been praised by Total Guitar Magazine and Alternative Press, as well as BBC Radio 6’s Jamz Supernova and even Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth.
