An immersive and other-worldly combination of experimental sound design, classic instrumentation and ethereal electronica.

Silver Ley is the creative incarnation of producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist FKA Bethany Ley. Classically trained in piano, viola and voice, Ley commands an intricately intimate sonic universe, weaving elements from seemingly incompatible sources into an ethereally coherent style.

Taking cues from Aphex Twin and FKA Twigs, all the way to Indonesian gamelan, traditional folk singing, and Roman Chant, Ley uses these frameworks as building blocks for their genre-defying compositions – with their 2024 solo debut Sundial released on Lo Recordings (Grimes, Aphex Twin) to support from BBC Radio 6, Giles Peterson’s Future Bubblers Programme and PRS’ Women Make Music Fund. With their upcoming sophomore EP ‘FANG’ upping the ante with a maximalist palette of dramatic arrangements, stacked vocal layers and bold electronics.

Silver Ley has performed at numerous prestigious venues and events internationally, including Bristol City Cathedral for Luke Jerram’s Gaia installation and En Masse Festival, shared stages with Kae Tempest, ML Buch and Baths, and collaborated with artists such as Alabaster DePlume, Batu, Grove and Ishmael Ensemble.

Precisely engineered and organically alive, like crystalline structures growing in some newly discovered garden.
