New York-based, Alex Hitchcock is known internationally as a leading voice on the saxophone and for his immediately distinctive improvisations.

An Ivor Novello-nominated composer, each of his innovative collaborations are captivating musical encounters that continually push the envelope a little further. Described by France Musique as “an absolutely fascinating musician” and “an incredible saxophonist” by Walter Smith III (USA), he tours and records with trailblazing musicians for his Dream Band series.

Live in London was the Jazzwise Editor’s Album of the Year 2023 and his project with Ant Law; Same Moon in the Same World was performed at Bristol Beacon in 2023. Don’t miss the chance to hear this award-winning saxophonist in Bristol next Spring.

Trenchard Street multi-storey car park is 200m away, directly behind Bristol Beacon.

Mobility

Spaces for wheelchair users are available within the first 10 rows on the flat floor of the Hall.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs and emotional support animals are allowed in the performance space. Seats in rows AA-J on the flat floor are most suitable. If you prefer, you can leave your animal with a member of staff during the performance.

Hearing Facility
