A group of seven people stand in a car park, laughing, clapping and dancing in a lowkey manner. They're all celebrating the seventh person. They have long brightly coloured hair and are dancing more than the others. There is blue sky with no clouds.

With irresistible rhythm and soulful grooves, Asere bring the spirit of Cuban music into the 21st century.

Fusing traditional son, the Afro-Cuban genre that laid the foundations for salsa, with contemporary flair, the seven-piece band deliver explosive live performances shaped by decades of international touring and collaboration.

Formed in the late ’90s, Asere are true ambassadors of Cuban music’s rich heritage, weaving in Cha Cha Chá, Nueva Trova, Pilón and more with joyful energy and inventive arrangements.

They’ve performed over 700 UK shows, toured the world, and shared stages with the likes of Totó la Momposina and Billy Cobham. A rare chance to experience Cuba’s “Son del Nuevo Milenio”, live, direct, and full of heart.
